We are seeking an engineer who has a strong background in web front end development with a proven track record to develop highly interactive and dynamic user experiences that deliver business impact.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Implement dynamic and interactive pages using React.js by consuming REST and GraphQL services.
- Write code with high test coverage via unit, integration, UX and acceptance test frameworks.
- Work collaboratively in an Agile/Scrum team to plan sprints, expand stories into tasks, work on removing impediments, and execute at optimal velocity and cadence.
- Proactively refactor code to reduce technical debt and increase efficiency and extensibility.
- Be highly responsive to critical production issues providing timely and effective solutions.
- Keep abreast of software industry best practices, processes and front-end and cloud technologies.
Education, Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline
- Expert knowledge of JavaScript, ES6 and React (Next.js, Service Worker)
- 3+ years' experience building consumer facing web applications
- Uphold the overall codebase quality by participating in design review, code review, unit testing and general technical discussion.
- Strong skills in HTML5/CSS3
- Experience designing and engineering consumer-facing web application
- Good understanding of large-scale NodeJs platform development
- Familiarity with cloud technologies - e.g., AWS infrastructure: Route 53, CloudFormation, CloudFront / ALB / ECS and Docker
- Implement AB tests, measure the impact and derive insights
- Solid understanding of computer science principles
