We are looking for a creative backend developer to join our Product Engineering team. You will be working with our product team to develop cutting-edge technology which results in solutions that exceed customer expectations and are delivered quickly, with minimal technical debt.
You will contribute developments to the core product family and supporting tool infrastructure. We are looking for passionate engineers with experience in all major aspects of the software development lifecycle, from application design through to unit testing, deployment and product maintenance. Good communications skills and a strong teamwork ethic are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, and deliver robust, well-tested product features
- Contribute to product design and feature estimation
- Contribute to product documentation and unit testing
- Carrying out code reviews for other team members
- Collaborating with other teams, especially DevOps and QA
- Contributing to the planning and delivery of releases
Essential skills:
- Proven work experience in API development
- Strong experience implementing backend services in microservices architecture
- Good Object Oriented Design and unit testing experience
- Strong Node.js and TypeScript experience
- Experience with Docker containers
- Experience working with a variety of database technologies (SQL & NoSQL)
- An ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment
Desired skills:
- Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI/CD systems
- Experience with a Git-based workflow (branches, code review, pull requests)
- Experience with modern browser frameworks like Angular 2, Vue or React
- Experience with ELK stack
