Front-end Software Engineers All Levels at Pictet Technologies (Esch-sur-Alzette, Luxembourg)

As a Front-end Software Engineer, your mission will be to:       

• Deliver shippable features as part of our Scrum teams


• Work closely with UI/UX designers to bring mock-ups/wireframes, identify issues in user experience and provide recommendations/codified solutions to influence the design


• Improve UI/UX skillset of the team by coaching and helping them implementing best practices

Our ideal candidate should have the following attributes:

• Advanced degree in software engineering coupled with relevant professional experience


• Strong design sensibility with solid experience creating responsive, scalable, testable, performant applications


• Excellent grasp on core web concept and technologies: JavaScript, HTTP, HTML/CSS, Web API


• Solid experience in Angular and ideally a good understanding of other modern JS frameworks such as React, Vue.js, Ember…


• Good experience of the modern web app stack: Node, Npm, Webpack, Less/Sass, RxJS, Redux, Testing tools….


• Proficiency with design tools (Photoshop, Sketch, Figma…) would be a nice one to have


• Interest in core Java and the Java-based technology stack in general


• Working experience of some of these (or similar): Hibernate, Spring, PL/SQL/SQL/Relational databases


• Some knowledge of industrialized software development tools and practices such as Git, Jira, Bamboo, Maven, Nexus, JUnit, refactoring, continuous integration and Docker based deployment just to name a few

But also : 

• An agile mind-set. It’s not a buzz word: it’s about collaboration, growing together, supporting more junior team members, intellectual humility and strong desire to learn


• Proven ability to deliver against deadlines


• True team player as teamwork is at the heart of everything we do


• Strong French and/or English communication skills, both written and verbal
