Our existing software systems form part of the critical national infrastructure, safeguarding land and property ownership valued at £7 trillion, enabling over £1 trillion worth of personal and commercial lending to be secured against property across England and Wales.
We are now looking for experienced Senior Software Engineers to join our Digital, Data and Technology team to help us to achieve this.
As a Senior Software Engineer you will be expected to provide expert technical direction on projects and activities to delivery teams. You will be able to produce solution design(s) that align to agreed architectural principles and review system designs and complex code produced by colleagues as required.
You have the ability to collaborate with colleagues and your peers to ensure the standardised approach to software development is adopted across your projects, providing hands-on expertise and direct problem-solving on technical issues encountered during the software development cycle(s).
We are seeking Senior Software Engineers who uses their own and other resources to provide technical leadership to delivery teams and colleagues. You will be able to resolve technical issues that arise on software projects and be able to assist in the continual improvement of the end-to-end processes supporting delivery for your group.
To meet the requirements for this role it is essential you have experience in designing solutions to meet business needs, promoting reuse and ensuring the solution adheres to design standards. In addition, you will also have experience leading a software development team including assisting team members, overseeing the work of others and mentoring colleagues. Good communications skills are essential.
