Reporting to the IT Director, The Systems Engineer is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure, including end-user systems. The System Engineer owns the IT technical role within the organization. They are the technical owner and responsible for information technology recommendations.Essential Job Functions, Duties, And Responsibilities Design externally hosted cloud infrastructure- both servers and applications Work with third-party to establish Help Desk support and standards Participate in resolving end-user escalations if needed Manage third-party network providers to ensure optimal network uptime Determine enterprise security infrastructure, standards, and procedures Lead/direct current and future capacity planning and design of new enterprise systems and projects to meet organizational needs Manage Microsoft Office 365 Email Cloud Environment, Active Active Directory, Group Policy, and Solarwinds NAble for computers and users, VMWare ESX Servers, Amazon Web Services environment (14 Servers), Malwarebytes Client and Cloud Software, and Cisco Meraki Cloud Devices (Firewalls, VPN Tunnels, and Wireless) Manage and optimize the Employee Onboarding process Research/write proposals for new technologies and upgrades for existing systems Establishes level of service standards and operating policies/procedures for overall system availability and individual system components and ensure vendors meet these standards Periodically review appropriateness of technologies used for system components. Recommends modifications and/or upgrades when necessary to keep systems operating according to defined service level agreements and operating level agreements Responsible for managing all Antivirus and security software Responsible for working with third-party partner in managing ShoreTel phone system Protect organization from Cybersecurity threats Manage and maintain an IT priority list including periodic updates to senior management Recommend annual IT technical budget and CAPEX requirements Provide excellent customer service. Requirements Bachelors degree or equivalent, Information Technology degree preferred; significant experience in the information technology field with Minimum 5 years working with Active Directory and Windows Server Minimum 3 years managing an Office 365 or Microsoft Exchange email system Minimum 1 year working with Amazon Web Services Knowledge in Networking Concepts (VLANs, DHCP, DNS, switch configuration) 10-25% travel expected for position.
