Function Description :

Purpose of the Role :
- Serve as a core member of an Engineering team that designs and develops software applications and troubleshooting these applications.
- The member will write code and implement unit tests, working on API's, automation, and conducting code reviews and testing. They will effectively interpret Technical and Business objectives and challenges, and articulate sound solutions.
- The member will Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predict future challenges. They will understand code deployment and implementation activities.
- They should develop clean, tested, secure monitored and scalable code. They will perform all technical aspects of software development including developing prototypes, creating APIs, testing and debugging.
Responsibilities :
- Develop clean, tested, secure, monitored and scalable code.
- Perform all technical aspects of software development including developing prototypes, creating APIs, testing and debugging.
- Design and build integration components and interfaces in collaboration with Architects as necessary.
- Experience in Agile techniques and adhering to project timelines.
Qualifications :
A) Critical Factors to Success :
- Have the ability to quickly learn new technologies and implement projects using them.
- Be able to work independently and gather requirements from appropriate stakeholders.
- Possess good collaboration and communication skills.
- Good problem solver who is focused and self-driven.
B) Past Experience :
- 3-5 years of experience with Application Design and Development using Java.
- 3-5 years of experience in object-oriented analysis and design.
C) Functional Skills/Capabilities : A proven hunger to learn new technologies and translate them into working software.
D) Technical Skills/Capabilities :
- Proficiency in JavaScript, REACT.js including DOM manipulation, handling JSON responses.
- Thorough understanding of Java, J2EE, JavaScript, XML, and web services technologies.
- Experience with popular REACT.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
- Demonstrated experience in Agile development, design, software development, testing, and implementation.
- Good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
- Knowledge of version control and CI/CD- Git, Maven, Jenkis, etc
- Knowledge of NoSql technologies viz. Cassandra, Couchbase or MongoDB
Knowledge of Platforms : Knowledge of Spring including MVC, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, JUnit and SQL
Desirable :
- Experience with developing RESTful APIs and Microservices
- Exposure to Functional and Reactive programming paradigms.
- Cloud experience, for example, Docker, OpenShift, Unix and service discovery tools.
- Familiarity with PaaS is helpful, as is Docker.
