Winkler, Inc. caters to the needs of independent supermarkets, superettes and convenience stores servicing retail accounts in 6 states: Indiana, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio and Michigan.
We are looking for a qualified IT Support Technician to install, maintain and repair IT related Hardware, Software, and networking components. This position will ensure that adequate IT infrastructure is in place and is used to its maximum capabilities.
Responsibilities include
- Install and maintain desktop PC's, laptops, phones, tablets, and printers
- Install and configure system software
- Troubleshoot and resolve network and communication issues.
- Provide technical assistance and support for issues related to IT systems
- Maintain and repair technological equipment and peripheral devices
- Install and manage LAN/WAN and other networks components
- Manage security options and software to maintain privacy and protection
- Perform regular system and software upgrades
- Troubleshoot system failures and provide solutions to restore functionality
- Keep records of repairs and fixes for future reference
- Provide technical support and education to users on how to utilize technology correctly
Requirements
- Proven experience as computer technician or similar role
- Experience with LAN/WAN networks
- Knowledge of computer systems and IT components
- Knowledge of internet security and data privacy principles
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Good communication abilities
Education
- Bachelor or Associates degree in IT related field
- Equivalent related on the job experience
