Club OS is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team of software engineers. Our expanding engineering team is looking for a talented individual that has the ability to lead one to two teams of software and test engineers.

Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the day-to-day execution of one to two engineering teams, including development and testing
- Oversee and control the level of quality for code, automated functional tests, performance, and security
- Participate in the planning and estimation of technical deliverables
- Mentor software engineers by providing best practice guidance
- Help your team translate requirements into code and tests by providing technical specifications and design
- Support architectural assessments for new investments
- Actively participates in Scrum ceremonies
- Get your hands dirty to help the team over the finish line
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities
- Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban, Lean/XP)
- 10+ years hands-on software development experience in any of the languages that run on the JVM (e.g. Java, Groovy).
- Excellent understanding of the Java ecosystem and its trends (Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, Jersey)
- 10+ years developing in two of the following disciplines:
- Front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/redux preferred)
- Middleware (REST-based integrations, messaging, ESBs)
- Back-end (REST APIs, data modeling)
- Experience with public or private cloud-based SaaS development (AWS preferred)
- Understanding of relational databases (MySQL preferred)
- Passion for Continuous Deployment (e.g. Jenkins or TravisCI, Docker)
