In order to help our Marketplace teams to move fast we need to build tooling that enables them to have reliable production systems with automated deployment and feedback mechanisms. This position is a key to this approach.

What you'll do:
- Maintain and upgrade operating systems on Marketplace servers, apply Ansible configurations to existing hosts and configuring new ones.
- Maintain and upgrade docker orchestration engines such us Rancher or Kubernetes as well as different production/development environments for several teams.
- Technologies used in Marketplace constantly grow. You would be responsible for infrastructure solutions for new projects and build small prototypes to showcase these new ideas.
- Take ownership of the cloud accounts (passwords, users, configuration), helping teams to deploy their systems in cloud (AWS or Google Cloud).
- Take care of Continuous Integration such as maintaining one or more Jenkins installations, developing and maintaining different deployment pipelines for different teams, taking care of data replication between data centers.
- Implement and maintain monitoring (including alerting) solutions for hardware as well as software services.
- Ensure backups of running systems are done properly and regularly heath-check those backups.
- Understand the key parts of code of Marketplace projects and how they relate to the running infrastructure.
What you'll definitely need:
- Apprenticeship with relevant work experience in a high scale environment OR a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a related field.
- Experience building Jenkins pipelines.
- Good Unix knowledge.
- Good programming skills (e.g. Java, Python, Go).
What we'd love you to have:
- Experience with the following technologies: Docker, ELK Stack, Nomad, Rancher.
- 2-3 years experience working in high scale environment.
