As our backend engineer, you will build and maintain the server and database for a private social network with a large amount of concurrent users and solve complex problems at scale, coming up with creative solutions to meet complex business requirements.
You have:
- A B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or other relevant field
- Strong understanding of Design Patterns, Algorithms, and OOP
- Strong proficiency of Node.js and knowledge of the frameworks available for it
- Understanding the nature of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds
- Understanding of JWT-based authentication
- Excellent understanding of both noSQL and SQL databases
- Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable application
- Experience with TDD and other testing best practices
- Good working knowledge of AWS and its application services and best practices
- Proficient understanding of Git
- Extreme ownership over all projects and consistent ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous work environment
