This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Advanced knowledge in the following key areas: Hardware Architecture (performance testing, monitoring, operations), Hardware Benchmarking (Agile, program managements, network management), Design (compliance, security), Network Engineering (planning, provision), Application Development, and Applications Support
Advanced understanding of business technology drivers and their impact on architecture design, performance and monitoring, applicatin support, best practices and JPMC policies
Proficient in multiple infrastructure technologies
Demonstrated ability to conceptualize, launch and deliver multiple IT projects on time and within budget
Ability to articulate to more experienced management a technical strategy in clear, concise, understandable terms
Utilize strong Engineering background in an Agile environment across emerging technologies like Internet of Things, Cloud, Data Power, Kafka, Hadoop/Spark, and automation
Creation of technical designs to ensure technology interoperability, documentation of existing and proposed infrastructure, development of relationships with technical solution providers, and providing fourth tier troubleshooting/support
Assemble technology solutions and effectively define and implement a working architecture
Document small-to-large scale projects and deliver presentations to key stakeholders
Significant, hands-on hybrid, private and/or public cloud design experience with Amazon Web Services / AWS, Azure, VMWare, Google Cloud, or other cloud technology, with preference for scalable systems experience
DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer / SRE experience in a financial services, payment, transaction, or merchant services experience in a solutions engineering capacity- Minimum of 3 years of technical architecture experience and 5 years of Infrastructure Engineering experience (Distributed Unix and Windows)
Ability to design enterprise cloud systems with current and emerging technology
Prefer a passion for finance and technology, in addition to any payments processing architecture design experience
