As a member of the team you will:
- Develop cutting-edge financial applications and APIs for our Pricing Platform which is used by our clients and consulting teams internally
- Work in an agile methodology in a self-organizing team with 2-week sprints
- Gain a great influence over the style of software developed in the team
- Collaborate with other teams within Chatham Financial
- Develop software in our continually evolving technology stack (currently includes C#, SQL Server, RabbitMQ, Redis, ServiceStack, Protocol Buffers, .NET Core, HAProxy, WCF, and more)
- Learn and continuously improve your skills – yes, it is OK to learn from your mistakes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
- Hands-on experience writing clean code, including strong focus on testing
- Programming languages, including C#, C++ or Java, with a strong preference towards C#
- Comfortable with backend software development (e.g., data storage and access models, enterprise messaging patterns, computationally intensive algorithms, scalability design principles)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
- Strong inclination towards refactoring and continuously improving code
Although not required, it would be nice if you have had experience with:
- Open source projects
- Messaging systems (e.g., RabbitMQ) and caching platforms (e.g., Redis)
- CPU and memory usage profiling
- Performance optimization at the algorithmic level
- Designing distributed and parallel algorithms
