Job Summary
We are looking for developers to join our AdBuilder team. AdBuilder is a tool that creates engaging dynamic display ads for Paid Search and Social Advertising platforms. It allows designers to create reusable templates and users to customize and download ads for display on various networks. The tool is used to reduce design time and generate large amounts of ads in a small amount of time.
The AdBuilder team is a small team that works in our Naperville, IL office. You'll work closely with the team to fix bugs, refactor code, and implement new features. We work in React and Node every day, GraphQL most days, and Laravel occasionally.
About You
You should be able to implement bigger features end-to-end, without much guidance. You should be able to contribute to the design of features (both architecturally and from a user-experience/functionality point of view). For a given problem, you should be able to think of a few different approaches, and have a good understanding of the tradeoffs. Writing tests, refactoring, and using patterns and good engineering principles should be second nature. Knowledge of advanced topics are not expected to be incredibly deep but should extend past knowing the lifecycle of a react component and knowing how Node handles concurrency. You should understand topics slightly outside of development, like basic networking. The attributes we're looking for here are a passion for continuous learning, and a focus on delivering high-quality, working software.
Qualifications and Skills
Required
- Previous work experience using React and NodeJS
- Experience with Docker Containers and Deployment
- Experience with performance debugging and benchmarking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Basic Linux admin (ability to SSH, view logs, etc)
- Experience with Git version control
Nice to Have
- Previous work experience with GraphQL
- Previous experience working in a continuous deployment pipeline
- Experience architecting a RESTful API
Compensation
$80,000+ per year based upon skill and previous experience. Motivated and talented individuals may advance quickly in our fast growing company.
