DevOps Engineer at BentoBox (New York, NY)

We’re looking for an experienced devops engineer to help build the world’s best digital platform for restaurants. Our current technology stack consists mostly of Django / Python, Django Rest Framework, and React. Our infrastructure is currently running on AWS and managed using Ansible.


What we’re looking for:



  • Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration 

  • Experience with automation and configuration management using Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or an equivalent 

  • Strong Experience building and designing production ready, scalable and fault resistant AWS infrastructure 

  • Ability to design and manage CI / CD pipelines (We use CircleCi but are open to others) 

  • Strong grasp of modern Python development, preferably with Django 

  • Experience with Docker / Kubernetes or other containers not necessary but preferred


What you’ll be doing:



  • Maintain and help improve our AWS Infrastructure. You will be responsible for continuously improving the reliability and performance of our AWS infrastructure. 

  • Infrastructure Automation. We are looking for someone who can take our infrastructure automation to the next level. You will be Ansible or any other modern devops tools to automate server provisioning and maintenance. 

  • Continuous Integration pipeline. You will be ensuring that our automated integration pipeline works well and efficiently. You will be suggesting and implementing improvements to help us maintain rock solid, zero downtime deploys. 

  • Site Reliability. You will be responsible for responding to any infrastructure outages and for documenting these issues so we may effectively prevent them in the future.
