With a group of highly skilled professionals, you will help shape the future of software defined storage. You will be part of a truly international team which contributes to the Ceph community project and mcreates SUSE's Enterprise Storage product. In this role you will be a part of the Ceph and Rook communities, developing core of Rook orchestration for Ceph containers, as well as developing Ceph containers solutions. This is a job offering for a passionate software developer who enjoys working on distributed storage technology.
Expected skills:
- Seasoned programming skills in at least one common programming language (Python, JavaScript, Ruby, C/C++ are a plus)
- Decent Golang experience
- Experience with Salt or other configuration management software
- Linux and Shell scripting knowledge
- Experience developing applications for Kubernetes, or Docker
- Eagerness to grow professionally and work on Open Source community projects
- Fluent English
Desired skills:
- Substantial track record writing code for Ceph or other distributed software-defined storage solutions
- Proven track record of contributions to Rook, or other Kubernetes services
- Experience with agile development methodologies
- Experience with distributed systems, cluster technologies
