The Data & Technology division is our global competence center for software development. Worldwide more than 400 dedicated IT experts work on designing, programming, testing and operating the IT solutions with which we collect, evaluate and present our market research data.


As a (Junior) Software Tester (m/f) in our Quality & Support team, we offer you a very wide range of tasks. The first focus is on the field of testing, from creating test cases to automating them and documenting the results. They independently test software modules of market research applications, such as Analyze IT, an application for evaluating consumer data, not only technically but also functionally. Therefore it is your responsibility to ensure that our market research tools meet the requirements of our end users. In addition, you will be available to assist our users later on with your expert knowledge from the test phase as 2nd-Level support for any questions they may have.


You will be responsible for the following tasks:



  • Creation of manual and automated test cases

  • Independent testing of software modules as well as technical and functional aspects

  • Helpdesk as part of 2nd level support for our applications

  • Creation of manuals for new releases

  • Collaboration in migration and implementation project


You are an analytical and communicative personality who likes to solve challenging tasks in the software sector and is strongly service- and customer-oriented. You have a quick grasp of the facts and work very independently and reliably. You convince with your confident appearance.



You have the following professional qualifications:



  • Apprenticeship/study in (business) information technology or comparable qualification

  • Professional experience in testing and/or support

  • Good knowledge of the software lifecycle process

  • Good knowledge of Java and Linux

  • Knowledge of software testing and/or ITIL, corresponding certifications are advantageous

  • Basic knowledge of Sybase or MySQL

  • Good knowledge of GERMAN and English, both spoken and written (at least B2)
