IT Operations Engineer at Auth0 (Bellevue, WA)

Auth0 is looking for an Operations Engineer to join the IT team and help us build out our internal corporate infrastructure. You will focus primarily on tools and processes to manage and secure our workstations, tools, networks, systems, and much more. This position will also function as an engineering resource for non-technical teams, providing support and solving technical challenges as needed.

Responsibilities




  • Automate common IT tasks and processes using scripts, Slack apps, Webtasks, etc.

  • Build tools to automate the management of our fleet of Mac workstations and ensure their security and compliance

  • Design and deploy pieces of our internal corporate infrastructure to empower our global workforce to work efficiently, effectively, and securely

  • Support our non-technical teams by providing engineering support when needed for integrations, automations, new tools and services, and more.

  • Collaborate with the Security and Compliance teams to ensure security best practices are used and compliance requirements are met across all technologies

  • Build and maintain secure methods of accessing confidential data, using BeyondCorp best practices and VPNs

  • Develop creative solutions to unexpected problems, working with different teams throughout the company

  • Troubleshoot all kinds of applications, systems, and services as needed



Requirements




  • You have 3+ years of experience developing scripts, tools, and internal applications (show us some examples that you are proud of!)

  • You are proficient in at least one programming language (Python and/or javascript/node, are preferred)

  • You thrive in ambiguity and enjoy finding creative solutions when there is no clear answer to a problem

  • You have experience managing and securing workstations in a corporate environment

  • You have an understanding of secure networking best practices

  • You are highly organized and self-motivated

  • You have excellent English speaking and writing skills



Extra Points




  • Knowledge of BeyondCorp principles and best practices

  • Experience with user and access management processes

  • Background in a customer/technical support role

  • Experience with Google G Suite, Jamf Pro (previously known as Casper), Amazon Web Services, Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and other applicable cloud services
