As an Engineer in the Deployment Engineering team you will have the following responsibilities:
Manage the procurement, deployment, and tracking of all network assets across the Comcast Regional Area Networks and the Regional Optical Transport Network.
Directs the day-to-day coordination and technical project management of network equipment including change control, resolution of stake holder issues, schedules and timelines to ensure equipment implementation is on track for overall project success.
Manage vendor relationships through open communication and regular partnership on hardware deliverables, compatibility and lifecycle.
Accountable for evaluating Engineering Design requirements and documents for nationwide facilities and ensuring that a sound architectural design is achieved.
Leverages vendor relationships to communicate the latest industry standards, pricing structures, purchase orders and delivery timelines.
Acts as the lead interface for internal and field organizations in the deployment of network gear during the design, installation, and configuration phase.
Responsible for validating OnNet status of all network elements deployed into the field.
Responsible for the inventory management of Comcast Regional Area Networks, Regional Optical Transport Networks, regional Universal Enterprise Networks and related project network elements. This will include maintaining sufficient inventory levels to meet the needs of the business, in accordance with the national Plan of Record.
Partner both internally and externally to create, modify and optimize commonly used tools across multiple departments to ensure efficiencies in all of our processes.
Leverage existing tools to ensure a coordinated approach to completing common tasks across organizations.
Continued focus on streamlining Methods and Procedures for equipment deployment and implementation.
Works with limited amount of supervision for job duties and high performance.
Some travel may be required.
Determines and implements corporate communications network and information technology standards.
Troubleshoots and resolves complex network issues.
Determines and documents internal telecommunications systems.
Designs and configures telecommunications systems.
Establishes and maintains network performance objectives.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.

Skills/Experience:
Solid technical skills relative to Voice, Video and High Speed Internet network engineering, planning and management, including experience with IP routers, switches and CMTS equipment.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts within a data center and headend environment.
Strong background in coordinating the implementation of Engineering Design guidelines and requirements.
Basic working knowledge of commonly used tools, such as Tableau, Slack, Sharepoint and Databases.
Understanding of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), how they are used and what they measure.
Skilled with using Microsoft Office products.
Self motivated team player.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Three plus years of experience in deployment and installation of switches, routers and servers, or similar networking components.
Three plus years of experience in Video, Voice and Data networks.
Relevant experience in Inventory Management and Asset Lifecycle Management.
Advanced Technical Project Management skills.
Advanced Microsoft Office or equivalent computer skills.
Basic knowledge of all current types of networking and server hardware is helpful.
Proven analytical, problem solving and personal organizational abilities.
Superior interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with vendors, employees and management.

Job Specification:
