At TomTom, you are in a unique position to advance and to impact the future of autonomous driving. To build the maps which bear the level of detail required for autonomous driving, a large amount of sensor data (LiDAR, cameras) needs to be visualized and annotated. We need you to develop and maintain the tooling which can do this. As this tooling is such an essential part of our multi-petabyte size sensor data and maps databases, you will collaborate with other engineering, operational, and machine learning R&D teams to deliver high-quality products.
Here is a little taste of your challenge...
- Build a tool allowing operators to classify and annotate image data (LiDAR, cameras) efficiently and quickly
- Lead a talented engineering team of 3-5 who like to ship code and complex engineering problems
- Design and Build the tooling in a flexible and scalable way to allow for further improvement
- Enable the tool to simultaneously process multiple data feeds from various sources
- Deploy the tool to the continuous delivery production pipeline
- Set clear expectations and create a positive work environment based on accountability, in collaboration with the engineering and management.
What we expect from you...
- Top-notch software engineering skills, and a desire to keep learning
- Strong expertise in Java and relational databases, and experience in Python and C++
- Hands-on involvement in design, architecture and development activities
- Ability to write clean, elegant and maintainable production-level code
- Good understanding of mathematics, geometry, and statistics
- Experience with Maven and Git
- Ability to work well with others; TomTom is a collaborative environment
- Experience with deployments on AWS and test automation
- Fluency in English
