We are looking for a Software Test Engineer to join our team in Sydney. This person will work closely with our Engineers and Quality Assistance team to continually improve Canva and ensure that it is running seamlessly and bug-free. This role will be involved in automating test cases, running scripts, and implementing best practices in Software Engineering and Testing.
Responsibilities
- Advocate test coverage and a test driven culture
- Own automation of Canva end-to-end tests across our platforms, including Web, iOS, and Android
- Collaborate with stakeholders and different teams across Canva
- Perform and coordinate exploratory testing of the Canva app
- Contribute in developing test automation processes and strategy
- Troubleshoot issues raised by the Customer Happiness Team
- Coordinate third party vendors performing manual tests
What we’re looking for
- Deep understanding of software development basics, the tenets of quality, and best practices for testing and test automation
- Solid experience in automation and manual testing using Selenium as the framework
- Experience using Git and JIRA
- Good understanding of Software Architecture
- Strong coding skills in javascript or Java
- Knowledge of industry standard tools to debug web and/or mobile applications, e.g. CharlesProxy, Wireshark or similar
Nice to haves
- Appium and native app testing experience
- Node.js, Webdriverio, API Testing, Shell scripting
