What you’ll do

• Take on a leadership role by mentoring junior developers


• Mentor junior developers in Agile methodology while working through projects


• Actively participate in designing the partner’s application architecture, keeping security, cost, and performance in mind


• Work side-by-side with the UX team to design and build data visualizations


• Determine operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions


• Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments, and clear code


• Prepare and install solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming


• Improve operations by conducting systems analysis and recommending changes in policies and procedures

What you’ll bring

• 2+ years of experience shipping production code on React projects, including comfort with React’s Hooks API and experimental features on the React roadmap


• 5+ years of JavaScript development experience


• Experience working with GraphQL and an understanding of best practices for schema design


• React and JavaScript knowledge and experience are required


• Angular knowledge and experience


• Experience building applications that use AWS, and web security experience, is beneficial


• Agile experience


• Experience writing a lot of code


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills


• Authorization to work in the United States without authorization

Preferred skills

• Experience working in a highly regulated industry like finance, healthcare, or defense


• Experience working with static-typing variants of JavaScript (i.e. TypeScript, Flow)


• Understanding of different Authentication standards and strategies (OAuth, Basic, API Key-Based, etc.)


• Understanding of OWASP web security standards


• Experience with Python


• Familiarity with performance tuning and debugging tools like the Chrome or Firefox DevTools and the React DevTools
