As the company’s newest Sr. Front-End Engineer, you’ll be a major contributor to the company’s success. You’ll own the design, development, and deployment of major pieces of the ValiMail system. Your technical contributions will help protect dozens of brands and authenticate hundreds of millions of emails every day. ValiMail is a fast-growing, venture-funded startup and the leader in Email Authentication as a Service. What You'll be Doing:


•Designing and building the next version of our web-based UI.


•Designing and building compelling user experiences for use on desktop and mobile browsers.


•Building beautiful visualizations that present meaningful insights from complex data sources.


•Determining front-end technologies to adopt and advocating for their usage.


•Helping establish and promoting best practices and conventions.


About You:


•Experience building production web applications that service external users in a highly available environment


•6+ years recent experience building web application UIs using front-end technologies - Javascript, CSS, HTML.


•Experience making technological recommendations while weighing various tradeoffs.


•Ability to use design patterns to create simple and reusable components for complex UIs.


•An understanding of how to build user interfaces on top of RESTful APIs.


•Ability to understand UX design artifacts and provide meaningful feedback.


•A commitment to modern development practices – including automated testing.


•A willingness to jump in and experiment with new technologies, and to get out of your comfort zone.


•An aesthetic sensibility regarding what does and does not constitute functional, beautiful, usable UI.


Bonus Points:


•Examples of previous work available online.


•Experience implementing responsive designs.


•Mastery of D3.js.


•Mastery of Bootstrap


•Familiarity with Front-end principals used in Ruby on Rails.


•Familiarity with the principles of visual design expounded by Tufte.
