Job Title: Lead Network/Systems Engineer
Location: Coppell, TX
Salary: Up to $110,000/year based on experience + discretionary bonuses and paid certifications
SUMMARY
Verigent is seeking a Lead Network/Systems Engineer to support their clients managed services division.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide configuration, trouble shooting and solutioning support for existing and new clients
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of infrastructure support experience
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, CIS or related field
- Technology certifications are preferred
- Experience with Cisco Networking, Windows Servers and Office 365 REQUIRED
- Previous experience working with a managed service provider highly preferred
- Working knowledge of Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM) & Service Desk software tools and methodologies, particularly Kaseya VSA, Traverse, and BMS preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in network design, implementation, configuration and support leveraging technologies including Cisco, Fortinet, SonicWall and Ubiquiti
- Demonstrated expertise in system design in infrastructure technologies including server operating systems (Windows and Linux), server hardware, compute systems, storage (on-prem and cloud), physical and virtual network components, RDS/VDI, VMware-based virtualization, and encryption
- Experience with on premise and cloud environments and the ability to lead on premise to cloud migrations or IT transformations
- In-depth understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Exchange, O365 and Skype for Business
- Experience in securing IT environments by leveraging security best practices for infrastructure and end devices
- Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT Management, and support staff
- Ability to travel on occassion
